Family & Friends...

With great joy, we found out in August that we were expecting our third child due in April 2019.   His name is John Levi.

We have been so excited and filled with anticipation about this new addition to our little family.  Many of you have rejoiced with us and we are so very thankful.

In late November, we received some concerning news regarding the baby from a routine blood test.  We went to see a high risk doctor in Pensacola for an in-depth ultrasound and further diagnostic testing.  The results came back and were consistent with the blood test... our baby boy, John Levi, has a condition called Trisomy 18, or Edwards Syndrome.  T18 is most often a fatal chromosomal abnormality.  The ultrasound did reveal further complications confirming the heartbreaking news.  Simply put, the statistics are bleak and it appears that our time with him could be brief... either before or after birth.

Naturally, this news has hit our family pretty hard.  We are learning what deep grief and sadness is on the most intimate level. But God has been growing our faith and trust in Him through this time.  We are continually reminded in this season of the great hymn:

'Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,

Just to take Him at His Word

Just to rest upon His promise,

Just to know 'Thus saith the Lord!'

Jesus, Jesus how I trust Him

How I proved Him o'er and o'er

Jesus, Jesus precious Jesus

O, for Grace to Trust Him more!

We want to say this clearly... in the midst of difficulty, we still say God is good.  His character is flawless, and His love for His children is sure.  We are sad... but we do not despair, because our hope is not in an outcome but it is in Jesus Christ.  He has lovingly and graciously ordained our family to walk through this season, and we are thankful for His leading and comfort.

The purpose of this site is to share with you our journey, and it is our prayer that you would come alongside us as we pray, hope, seek, trust and grieve.  We want to encourage all that life is found in Jesus alone.  He promises not to take all hardships away, but He does promise to lead us through them.  And as we follow... may the Lord grant us Grace to Trust Him More.
